Your Home Girls – Community Organizing Giveaway Official Rules & Regulations

Supporting Sponsors: Third-party organizations providing promotional or community support. Sponsors are not responsible for administering the giveaway, selecting winners, or managing organizing sessions.

1. Eligibility

• Open to residents of the Greater Seattle area (Seattle, WA) and Los Angeles, CA, age 21 or older.

• Employees, contractors, affiliates, or immediate family members of the Sponsor, Host, or Supporting Sponsors are ineligible.

• Void where prohibited by law.

 

2. How to Enter - Fill Out Form 

• Nominate yourself or another eligible person by emailing media@yourhomegirls.org. Include:

  • Full name & city of nominee

  • Short description explaining why the nominee deserves support

  • Photos or video of space(s)

  • Contact information

• Limit one entry per person per city.

• No purchase necessary; any attempt to purchase or provide consideration will not increase chances of winning.

• Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE): Mail-in submissions accepted at:

3. Prize

• One in-home decluttering and organizing session per city (Seattle & Los Angeles).

• Support for 1–2 main living spaces and lasting practical systems.

• Approximate Retail Value (ARV): [Insert Value].

• Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, has no cash value, and may not be substituted except at the Host’s discretion.

4. Winner Selection & Odds

• Winners selected by the Host based on demonstrated need, readiness, and alignment with the mission.

• Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

• Winners will be notified via email by April 1, 2026.

• If a winner does not respond within five (5) business days, an alternate winner may be selected.

5. Client Responsibility

• Clients must clearly communicate which items are to be kept during the organizing session.

• The Sponsor, Host, and Supporting Sponsors are not responsible for items donated or discarded if not clearly identified as “keep” items at the time of the session.

6. Video & Photography Consent

• Nominees and winners consent to being photographed and/or recorded during the organizing session.

• Sponsor, Host, and Supporting Sponsors may use photos and videos for marketing, social media, documentation, and community storytelling.

• Consent is granted without expectation of compensation, unless prohibited by law.

• Participants may request restrictions on public sharing by notifying the Host in writing prior to publication.

 

7. Sponsor & Host Liability

• Sponsor and Host manage entry collection, winner selection, and fulfillment of prizes.

• Supporting Sponsors provide community or promotional support but are not responsible for administration, fulfillment, or any lost/damaged/discarded items.

• Participants agree that the Sponsor, Host, and Supporting Sponsors are not liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising from participation or use of the prize, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

 

8. Taxes

• Winners are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with the prize.

 

9. Privacy & Data Collection

• Personal information collected includes name, address, email, phone number, photos/videos of spaces, and background story.

• Information is used to administer the giveaway, schedule sessions, communicate with participants, and, if consented, for marketing/community outreach.

• Information will not be sold and may be shared with Supporting Sponsors only as needed to support the giveaway.

10. Federal & State Compliance

• This giveaway complies with:

  • Washington RCW 19.170 (Promotional Advertising of Prizes)

  • California BPC § 17539.1 (Clear rules, no purchase necessary)

  • Applicable federal consumer protection and sweepstakes laws, including the FTC Act.

 

11. Publicity

• By accepting a prize, winners consent to allow the Sponsor and Host to use their name, photo, video, and story for promotional purposes without compensation, unless prohibited by law.

 

12. General Conditions

• Sponsor and Host reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the giveaway if circumstances compromise its integrity.

• Participation constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these rules.

• Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
